Exciting news for the Somers & Hervey community — just a short drive away, Riverway Plaza is getting bigger.
An $85 million extension by Geon Property is currently underway, bringing more shopping, dining, and lifestyle options to the fast-growing Upper Ross area. Completion is scheduled for December 2026.
This is a significant extension, meaning the centre will physically grow to offer more for local residents, including:
- A brand-new 3,585m² Coles supermarket with a modern interior
- Over 30 specialty stores, including fashion, food, and lifestyle options
- Hungry Jack’s and a drive-thru Banjo’s Bakery
- A new Snap Fitness gym with scenic views of Mount Stuart and the Ross River
- A medical centre and pharmacy for easier access to healthcare
- Rooftop solar panels generating 300kW of renewable energy, supporting sustainability in the area
The extension by Geon Property will create more than 100 jobs during construction, along with future employment opportunities once open.
For residents of Somers & Hervey, this means even greater access to shopping, services, and leisure options — all just a short trip from home.
It’s all part of the exciting growth taking place around the area, making Somers & Hervey an even more connected and convenient place to call home.
